Since 1986, Queen's Orchard Fruit Treats has been serving delicious food and beverage items to our customers at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville, Maryland.
We are expanding our team, and looking for a few amazing team members to help us during the 2026 Festival, from August 29th through October 25th.
We take pride in our fast-paced and fun work environment, and our people thrive in a team atmosphere where we all work together to create and deliver a remarkable experience to our customers.
We believe that it's far more important to have people with the right values on our team, so our focus in hiring is centered more on who you are than what you know. Your values, work ethic, and ability to work well with a highly efficient team are far more important than specific skills. We can train you for those!
There are several roles within our business, and all employees work together to complete the work that is necessary for our daily foodservice operation.
Some of the tasks that you might be asked to perform are listed below:
Verbally interact with customers and potential customers from the front sales counter
Answer customer questions and accurately take orders and payments
Match completed orders with customer order numbers
Keep counter areas clean and stocked
Clean and prepare fruits and vegetables
Create beverages and juice drinks from our recipes
Create hand-dipped frozen bananas based on customer requests
Maintain the cleanliness of the food preparation and storage areas
Transfer ingredients and supplies from storage to preparation areas
Remove trash, flatten cardboard, and place recyclable materials in storage bins
Clean up at the end of the shift and dayCount cash drawers and complete cash deposit reports
Process credit cards and mobile touchless payments
Interact with customers via email, text-message, or on social media
Plus other duties as assigned

Employees at our season event will have first option to work at future special events or permanent locations.
In addition to hourly wages, all team members earn a share of tips that are collected.

Conditions of Employment:
Our team plays the role of merchants in a 16th century English village during the reign of King Henry the 8th. Because of this, all team members are required to wear clothing which aligns with the time period and either period-specific footwear or simple black or dark brown shoes. Additionally, they are expected to make a reasonable effort to converse in the Olde English dialect. (Don't worry - we will help you with both costume selection and speaking, it's fun and easy!)
